One of the many joys of summer is picking out your favorite fresh produce at a local farmer’s market. Lucky for Pittsburghers, there are many markets all over the city. In addition to farm to table produce, shoppers can also often enjoy prepared foods, craft beer, local wine and spirits, artisan crafts and more. Below is our 2024 Guide to our favorite Markets in the area! 

Market Square

Thursdays, May 16 – October 31, 2024

The 20th season of the rain-or-shine market offers regionally grown produce, organic products, and small-batch foods from a variety of vendors each week, serving Downtown’s workers, residents, visitors, and more.

Lawrenceville

Tuesdays, May 21 – November 26

Located in the heart of Bloomfield in Pittsburgh, PA, the Bloomfield Saturday Market is a farmer’s market that takes place May to November. The market emphasizes locally grown, produced, and created items. You’ll find produce, cheese, meat, coffee, hummus, prepared hot and cold foods, and so much more!

Pittsburgh CitiParks Farmers Markets will be shaped to strategically grow as welcoming and safe spaces for local growers, goods vendors, and community members to gather and create robust marketplaces for all peoples and patrons throughout Pittsburgh’s neighborhoods.”

This Farmers Market is very unique to the Pittsburgh area because the vendors play a large role in the management of the Market. This unique way of managing a market helps to ensure sales of honestly homegrown and handmade products.

Our vendors offer a great selection of fresh and prepared meals and snacks! The Block Northway Farmers Market

The Block Northway’s annual Farmers Market is back! The community-friendly event features locally grown, hand-selected produce, plus artisans and their handcrafted goods from all over the Allegheny County area. Shop bakery to bath bombs for the unique addition to The Block’s classic store offerings.

The Farmer’s Market is a weekly event that takes place on Wednesdays from 3 – 7 pm beginning the first week of June and ends in mid October each year. We are excited to be able to bring fresh produce, homemade goods, and much more to our Residents and guests!

Saturdays, April – last Saturday before Thanksgiving

St. James Church of the Divine Redeemer Parish

Now going into its Twentieth Harvest Season, the Farmers’ Market at St James Church of the Divine Redeemer Parish supports an eight month weekly local farmers and early merchants market. The market is open every Saturday from the first Saturday in April (except Holy Saturday, closed) to the last Saturday before Thanksgiving. The market is always open from 9 am until 1 pm regardless of weather conditions.
